The weight of every fabric is chosen on purpose, for how it drapes and the job each piece has to do.
A yarn-dyed tonal stripe tee in 240gsm combed cotton jersey (98/2). The stripe is woven into the yarn, not printed on top, so it never cracks, fades unevenly or lifts. Bold, even bands in two quiet tones drawn from the same palette as the plain Standards.
Cut regular, a touch closer than the box, with a straight hem. Pre-shrunk. A tee that reads as considered without asking for attention. Cold machine wash. Line dry.
Weight: 240gsm. Everyday structure.
Cut for a clean, considered fit. Take your usual size, or size down for a tailored look. Garment-washed and pre-shrunk, so expect under 2% shrinkage on a first cold wash.
The Blueprint: fabric & care
240gsm combed cotton with 2% elastane, the stripe woven into the yarn rather than printed on top, so it never cracks, fades unevenly or lifts. Weight enough to fall in a clean line and hold it.
Why the weight matters. A lighter knit clings and shows everything under it. We build with enough mass to fall in a clean line and hold it. Combed, long-staple cotton keeps the surface smooth and cuts down on pilling. A little elastane, where we use it, gives the knit some memory, so it returns to shape instead of bagging at the collar, cuff and hem.
Considered construction. Cotton-first cloth, with no performance coatings and no anti-odour tech. Blends earn their place: a touch of elastane where recovery matters, nothing else. Pre-shrunk, double-needle set, seams sewn to lie flat.
Caring for it. Wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Skip the tumble dryer. Dry flat or on a low line to protect the shape and the weight. Warm iron if you like a crisp finish.
